How Corpus Garage Door Works
Corpus Garage Door is a referral website, not a garage door company. We send your request to one independent local garage door company. You never pay us; companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals.
Who's behind the site
Corpus Garage Door is run by The Gadget Aid, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. We build and maintain this website and pass homeowners' requests to a local company. We have no technicians, trucks, warehouse or showroom, and we don't sell, repair or install garage doors, openers or parts.
The guides here were researched from published sources: the National Weather Service and NOAA for storm history, the Texas Department of Insurance and TWIA for windstorm rules, the Cities of Corpus Christi, Portland and Robstown for permits, FEMA for coastal corrosion, DASMA (the door industry's trade group) for safety, and national cost guides for prices. Each page lists its sources at the bottom. Prices are national ranges, not quotes.
What happens to your request
- You send a request. The form takes a name, a phone number, your town, the type of job, your timing and an optional note. To start, send a request with the form.
- We pass it to one company. Your request goes to one independent garage door company that serves the Corpus Christi area. It doesn't go to a list of bidders.
- The company contacts you. It may call to ask about the problem, tell you whether it covers your address, and give you its price. Pricing and scheduling come from that company.
- You decide. There's no obligation. If you hire the company, the agreement is between you and it.
How the site is paid for
The referral is free to you, and you never pay us. Companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals; that's how the site is funded. We don't add anything to your bill. The company sets its own prices, terms and schedule.
What we don't do
- Inspect, repair, install or supervise any garage door work
- Quote prices, collect payments or hold deposits
- Promise the company's availability, timing, workmanship or price
- Give insurance, windstorm, permit or legal advice; for those, ask your insurance agent, the Texas Department of Insurance at (800) 248-6032, or your city's building department
- Send marketing texts
What to ask any garage door company
These questions protect you whether you hire the company we refer you to or someone else:
- What's the full price, in writing? Parts, labor and any trip or service-call fee.
- Can I see a certificate of liability insurance? Check that the name matches the quote.
- What exactly are you installing? Spring size and cycle rating, or the door's model and wind rating.
- What written terms come with the parts and labor?
- Who pulls the city permit? Corpus Christi's permitting guide lists replacing a garage door as permitted work.
- Are you familiar with TDI's Windstorm Inspections Program? TDI's storm-repair handout warns against contractors who aren't, who take only cash, or who want payment before materials are on site.
Problems or complaints
If something goes wrong with the company you were referred to, contact that company first. If that doesn't settle it, or you want us to stop sending your requests anywhere, email [email protected]. We can stop referring to a company that doesn't treat homeowners fairly. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and how to ask us to delete it.

Check any company's credentials and get written terms before you hire. How this works.
